Welcome our new collegiate intern.

TeamConnor is excited to announce Ashton Lott has joined our important mission as our collegiate intern.  Ashton is going to be a senior at Baylor University with a major in nursing.  She is looking forward to starting her nursing program this fall.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and trips out to the lake during the summer months. 

After graduating from Baylor University in May 2024 her plans are to begin a career in nursing, potentially in the Neonatal Unit, and one day hopes to become a Nurse Practitioner.  

Ashton has known about TeamConnor since it was formed in honor of her childhood friend, Connor Cruse.  She attended Prestonwood Christian Academy with Connor and has remained close family friends with the Cruse family.  Ashton chose to become a collegiate intern with TeamConnor because of our important mission to fund childhood cancer research.  She is excited to see and experience first-hand the behind-the-scenes of a small non-profit organization making big strides in the world of childhood cancer.  It is her dream that no friend, sister, cousin, classmate, neighbor, mother, father, aunt, uncle, grandmother, or grandfather ever walk the journey that the Cruse family, and unfortunately, too many families are on every day because of childhood cancer.  Thank you, Ashton, for joining us to ensure our important mission is executed each day and Connor’s legacy continues.  He had a dream that if the U.S. can send a man to the moon, we can find a cure for childhood cancer.
