Mollie-Claire Matthews is finishing up her senior year at Missouri State University, where she will receive a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. While pursuing Musical Theatre is one of her main passions, she also has deep personal ties to raising awareness for pediatric cancer. Mollie-Claire was best friends with Connor Cruse, and not a day goes by when she isn’t reminded of the courage he inspired. Mollie-Claire served on the Junior Board for Team Connor in high school but still wanted to find ways to make an impact after graduating.

Upon moving to Springfield, Missouri, for college, she has been able to do just that by combining her two passions with the Princesses of the 417. Once a month, the company sends performers to portray children’s favorite princesses at local hospitals, bringing a bit of joy to their day. She recently dressed up as Princess Anna sang songs, played games, and laughed with children at Mercy Hospital. Mollie-Claire loves not only getting to see the kids smile but also the families and caretakers who love them so much.
